Submission of Digital Mineral Exploration Data Workshop
A one-hour workshop is being held on 13 September 2017 to assist explorers in understanding the requirements for the submission of digital mineral exploration data.
South Australia’s wealth of previous exploration data provides valuable precompetitive information in the ongoing search for new resource discoveries and a prime source of information to boost understanding of the state’s geology.
Submission of data obtained during mineral exploration is a statutory requirement pursuant to the Mining Act 1971 and Mining Regulations 2011. The data must be in digital format and in accordance with the Australian requirements for the submission of digital exploration data.
The South Australian Government is holding a free one-hour workshop on Wednesday 13 September to provide advice on these requirements, answer questions about digital data submission and receive your feedback on the requirements. The workshop will run from 10:30 to 11:30 am in the Training Rooms on Level 7, 101 Grenfell Street, Adelaide.
A second workshop will be held in March 2018 and, if there is sufficient interest, they will occur on a regular basis.
The workshop is solely to assist with the digital submission of data – it will not be considering any of the wider reporting requirements for explorers.
